the wonders of old story

I’ve always been a creative person at heart. My home was filled with wall decor and posters that have always represented me. Recently, I felt convicted to remove posters in my home that no longer represented the Lord. Not just posters, but other items in my home that didn’t honor or glorify God.

Because of this, my home now lacked posters and wall decor. So I searched for Christian Wall Art. I wanted my home to reflect my walk with the Lord. And for the space where I spent the most amount of time to inspire me.

Although there were many great bible verses and artists that had items for sell, I couldn’t find art that represented my style. I wanted Christian art that was modern and creative.

This led me to my computer. I started to make my own designs. My own wall art. I would make a design, send it to Fed Ex, and have them print my poster on glossy material. I’d buy a frame from Hobby Lobby, and then frame my new poster in my home. I loved it!

I kept making my own art. And I didn’t realize that in the process, I was blending my faith and my passion.

The timing of this all lined up with a period in my life where the Lord had me take a break from working. I took 5 months off work (unrelated to the posters) because the Lord was growing me and developing different areas of my life and my walk.

During that time, the Lord led me to design more. Create more. And start a business. That business is now Wonders of Old.

I chose the name Wonders of Old because Psalm 77:11 is one of my favorite scriptures. It was also one of the first posters I created. It reminds me to remember all the great things the Lord has already done in my life. And to trust and always believe that the one who brought me through some of my darkest times, will also get me through my current battles. And future ones.

This company is built on one thing: to encourage and inspire Christians who are walking with the Lord. In every day moments. From the posters in your home, to the stickers on your water bottle, to the notebook where you take notes on Sunday. I want you to know that you are wonderful. That God sees you. And that you can glorify God in 2024. With style and grace.

Above all, may God have the glory. And may the Lord bless you. Today, tomorrow, and forever.

To the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, thank you. May You be glorified and may Your will be done.
